February 26th was Pink Shirt Day in Canada. Albion marine’s Team in Canada and India chose to wear pink to encourage conversations about the topic and to create awareness about preventing bullying. “In a world where you can be anything remember to be kind to one another!” .

Back in February, our office in Chennai, Albion Engineering, conducted team building activities. These activities improve our workplace, our projects and also helps our team to understand each other better. Mr. Vasudevan, Manager of Albion Engineering India, shared "The team building exercise was a great experience. We could see some of the hidden skills come out in a game environment.".

The IMO Sub-Committee on Pollution Prevention and Response (PPR 7) met February 17-21 and moved a range of environmental protections forward including draft MARPOL amendments prohibiting the use and carriage for use as fuel of heavy fuel oil by ships in Artic waters. The draft amendments will be submitted to the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC 76) with a view to approval and circular adoption at MEPC 77. Read more: Maritime Executive
