The project was completed in full compliance with IMO regulations and IACS class requirements, including DNV and ABS. Through a structured review, update, and class-ready submission process, the revised SEEMP Part II received class approval within a record timeframe of two days.
The updated SEEMP Part II, introduced by the IMO, represents a significant regulatory advancement for ship operators, particularly in the areas of fuel oil consumption reporting and greenhouse gas (GHG) compliance. The revision strengthens requirements for data accuracy, transparency, and consistency, forming a critical foundation for regulatory reporting and environmental performance monitoring.
Effective 1 January 2026, vessels are required to report fuel oil consumption with enhanced granularity, including segregation by fuel type and improved data traceability. Ship operators must collect and maintain expanded fuel consumption datasets on a calendar-year basis to support accurate IMO DCS and GHG reporting. The revised framework also aligns with updated DNV and ABS class requirements, ensuring vessels are well prepared for future audits and increasing regulatory scrutiny.
